If you have had clutch problems then you most likely have seen your clutch cover off before. For those who have not, drain your gear oil and coolant.
(this is the last time you will have to drain coolant for simple clutch adjustments)
Next locate your crank case breather tube located above the water pump area extending out of the top of the clutch cover (there should be a T connection) and disconnect the hose.
Next take off the kick starter and it is sometimes easiest to take off the foot peg and brake lever.
Take off the clutch cover by removing the nine clutch cover screws, If it is tough to remove the clutch cover wiggle it from side to side and it will slowly come out of the water crossover area.
Next remove the six clutch bolts, springs, pressure plate, fibres and steels.
Inspect your fibres and steels make sure they are in top notch condition if not replace them.
Check your clutch basket for grooves where the fibers rest against it.
Re-install the clutch pack just as you would normally do.
Now that you have your clutch pack reinstalled put your pressure plate back in and also your clutch springs.
It is your personal preference for spring pressure whether it be stock or stiff or a combination of both (FIGURE 3).
Place the Lockout on top of your clutch springs and drop in the six provided socket cap screws (FIGURE 4)
It is sometimes best to screw down two of the bolts one on top and one on bottom to make it easier to install. MAKE SURE ALL FINGERS MOVE FREELY.
Now with all six fingers able to move freely tighten down six allen cap screws provided with the lockout to factory specifications (7.2FT LBS for Banshee)
Make sure the weighted fingers and move freely.
Now you are ready to install your new die cast clutch cover with the 9 clutch cover screws.
While your still making final adjustments be sure that your clutch actuator arm is in the proper location with the pointer on the actuator arm lining up with the arm and arrow on the top of the cases.
Make sure you refill the coolant, and also add new gear oil.
Cap off old breather tube at the "T" connection.
Re-install your footpeg and brake pedal.
Once all nuts and bolts are tight all fluids are toped off, you are ready to go out and "GET HOOKED UP"
