The kick start shaft modification is used as a stop
that is installed on the kick start shaft to help
prevent clutch cover breakage that commonly
happens to factory modified clutch covers, as well
as damage and or breakage to the kick starter gear,
the idler gear and the small gear on the back of the
clutch basket.
